When incorporating OER in the classroom, we suggest you begin by adapting existing lessons to integrate OER instead of building a lesson around a specific OER. This method is quick and effective, and it is a great way to explore OER.

 

Below are a few lesson plan examples that demonstrate how to incorporate OER in the classroom. These lesson plans can be used as an OER for educators, and can be adapted and edited for their needs. A blank template is also available for users to create their own lesson plans to incorporate OER.

This is a self-reflection activity to help you evaluate using OER in the classroom and how it can help you, where you can get stuck and how you might overcome barriers. Although there is much prescriptive advice about using OER in the classroom, it is useful to reflect on whether OER is useful, how and how your experience has been with it so far.
